A Homebrew Table Ruleset for Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG
Welcome to Mommyship! This is a mildly friendlier, broader, more robust, and ever-so-slightly less deadly take on the Mothership® RPG. This site contains the complete homebrew ruleset, split into 3 parts:
- Player's Survival Guide: Character creation, Stats, Skills, classes, species, combat, & gear.
- Shipbreaker's Toolkit: Ships, Crewmembers, space travel, operating costs, & ship combat.
- D.A.V.E. Pilot Manual: Design & pilot your very own Defense And Violent Encounter droid!
Mommyship was created by 2 big nerds, Jaz & Sam, to fill some gaps in the original system. It's since branched out a fair bit. Much love & respect to the OG, of course. Heads up, Wardens will still need the official Warden's Operations Manual, available in the Core Kit from TKG (link above). Support those devs!
Pick your app icon
Changing the icon after installing means reinstalling.
Look for Install or Add to Home Screen in your browser's menu.
Use the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or find Install in the browser's menu.
Open the browser menu (⋮) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

To Sam's mild dismay, the Galaxy Map runs noticeably better in a Chromium browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge, etc.), which installs right from the address bar.
Open the Firefox menu (⋮) and choose Add app to Home screen.
In Safari, choose File → Add to Dock.
Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
A PWA (Progressive Web App) is a website that feels and acts like a native app! It's built entirely out of standard web tech and runs in a small, dedicated browser window with some helpful enhancements for good performance and offline support.
Everyone should be able to install or just enjoy Mommyship on almost any device, including phones, tablets, and all flavors of PC. If there are site changes, it'll prompt you for a reload, which should be quick.
Why bother? The Galaxy Map (if you use it) should run better/launch faster, and you'll have a dedicated icon on your taskbar for when you forget the rules for making Debt Checks or whatever. Plus it's THEMED!
